Souvenirs

There are many places where you can buy souvenirs but it depends on your taste. If you are looking for tacky or joke souvenirs, you can find them at many places in old Montreal and on Ste-Catherine street west downtown (in fact, a majority of souvernir shops there sell that kind of items). But if you are looking for nice souvenirs, the museum shops are the best places (the McCord Museum of Canadian History, on Sherbrooke street west just east of McGill College ave., is a good example). There are also two Inuit art galleries (one in old Montreal, the other downtown on Peel street just north of de Maisonneuve). For souvenirs with the Montreal's public transit company's logo on it, there's the MTC's souvenir shop at the Berri-UQAM metro station.
