Metric system

In Quebec and in Canada in general.. and in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, etc... we use the metric system. Everything you'll see, from speeds to distances and weights follows the metric system. Distances are in kilometers (km), speeds are in kilometers per hour (km/hr), weights are in kilograms (kg) or grams (1000 g = 1kg) and volumes are in litres (l). Here's a simple conversion table.

1 km = 0.6214 mile (2/3) 1 mile = 1.6093 km
1 gram= 0.0353 oz 1 ounce [oz] = 28.35 g
1 Kilogram = 2.2046 lb 1 pound [LB] = 0.4536 kg
1 litre = 16 fl oz.

Here's a temperature conversion table, you will notice that there is no linear relation between Celsius and Fahrenheit, so there's no basic rule of thumb.

30c = 86F
15c = 59F
0c = 32F
-15c = 5F
-30c = -22F
