Nights at Ghetto Shul

A grass-roots student-run synagogue acting as a stronghold of Judaism for the downtown Montreal community. Striving to offer Jewish experiences accessible by Jews from every walk of life, our services generate an atmosphere of warmth and community found in few other places in North America. With events ranging from Friday-night services full of song and dance to organized learning opportunities to holiday celebrations and Klezmer jam sessions, the Ghetto Shul capitalizes on the wide range of young Jewish life and creates memories, friends and a community for any Jew living in, studying in, or simply visiting downtown Montreal.
